Thailand Tourism: Culture, Nature And History

As the economy continues to improve, more people are ready to get back to enjoying adventures in traveling. This is good for everyone, as long as they are responsible tourists, so the more the merrier. Thailand is a country that benefits greatly from tourism, with almost seven percent of its GDP coming from tourism!

Nestled in Southeast Asia, Thailand is a country with a modern lifestyle and culture, but with a rich heritage and customs that are fascinating for any tourists to see. From ancient temples to modern shopping malls, sandy beaches to rustic mountains, Thailand has something for everyone, without a doubt!

The coastal areas of Thailand are a major attraction. The beautiful beaches and hundreds of tropical islands make it a great destination for those looking for some tropical fun mixed in with their cultural experience. You can sun yourself on the beach, go for a swim, or diving is also a very popular tourist attraction.

Thailand has a rich and fascinating history that you can explore in some of the countless historical sites across the country. Buddhist temples are there in abundance and there are a few World Heritage sites. Museums and archeological sites are also great places to catch a glimpse of history in Thailand tourism.

It seems that lately Thai is an extremely popular ethnic food of choice these days. Where Chinese food was the norm a few decades ago, more people are getting interested in different Asian foods and Thai has become a definite favorite. When you eat at a Thai restaurant you have to wonder if the food is really what they eat in Thailand. While visiting the country you can experience the food as authentic as it gets.

Thailand has got a wonderful modern culture you can enjoy, too. The night life in Thailand is renowned worldwide. If you are a night owl and live to party, Thailand will not disappoint. Bangkok is particularly well known for this aspect of tourism with a wild and fun night culture.

Another thing you will not want to miss out on is shopping in Thailand. There are many malls across the country, but Bangkok is definitely king when it comes to shopping malls. There are thousands of stores selling products from every country with a mind boggling amount of international and local brands.

Thailand has so much to offer. There are also many other natural wonders to be seen. There are some striking plants to be observed as well as many exotic birds.

If you are ready to get back into traveling and are looking for a unique experience Thailand should be on your short list. You have the opportunity to experience an exciting new culture, visit fabulous historic sites, relax on the beach and have a blast every night. And while you’re there, don’t worry about starving.
